Migrating an MMP without losing your attribution
Moving from Branch to Adjust mid-scale, and the SDK validation work that decides whether the new numbers mean anything.
By Topan Adi Pamungkas · Performance Marketing Manager · Gotrade (YC S19)
An MMP migration is usually sold as a procurement decision. In practice it is an instrumentation project, and the risk is not the switch — it is the weeks afterwards when nobody quite trusts the numbers.
Validate the SDKs, not the dashboard
Firebase, Meta and TikTok SDKs each feed signals that complement MMP data. Partnering with engineering to implement and validate them was what made the post-migration numbers usable for optimisation rather than merely present.
Keep a bridge to organic
Tying Adjust links to a branded shortener, automated through Lark, let the SEO team see article-level contribution to acquisition. Attribution is not only a paid-media concern.

PERFORMANCE MARKETING MANAGER · GOTRADE (YC S19)
Performance Marketing Manager at Gotrade (YC S19), running paid acquisition for the Indonesian market as sole contributor. I started in frontend engineering in 2013 and spent three years in technical support before moving into growth, which is why I read a tracking stack as fluently as a media plan. I also build XerAds, an AI-native growth platform. I am as comfortable debugging a tracking pixel as optimising a campaign budget.
